About Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore
Established in 1963, Institute of Certified Public Accountants
of Singapore (ICPAS) is the national accountancy body that
develops, supports and enhances the integrity, status and interests
of the profession. ICPAS is the largest professional body in
Singapore.
ICPAS accords the CPA Singapore designation. The
Certified Public Accountant Singapore (CPA Singapore) is a
professional who possess the relevant work experience in addition
to a recognised accountancy qualification. CPAs Singapore are
recognised for their professionalism, technical expertise and
integrity.
CPAs Singapore serve every corner of the world in very
industry. Many of them helm some of the most prominent local and
international corporations.
Working closely alongside businesses, ICPAS connects its
membership to an unmatched range of information resources, events,
professional development and networking opportunities. At present,
there are close to 24,000 members making their strides in
businesses across all industries in Singapore and around the
world.
ICPAS' international outlook and connections are reflected in
its membership of regional and international professional
organisations like the ASEAN Federation of Accountants (AFA), the
Asia-Oceania Tax Consultants' Association (AOTCA) and the
International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) and the
International Innovation Network (IIN).
The Institute also caters for the training and professional
development of its members through regular courses conducted by its
training arm, the SAA Global Education (SAA GE).
SAA Global
Education, previously known as The Singapore Accountancy
Academy, was established in 1985 with a vision to service and
foster the needs of the accountancy industry. It has over 25 years
of track record as a leading accountancy education provider,
attracting and developing talent for the accountancy profession on
an international level. It has trained thousands of
individuals to upgrade their education and career needs through
various academic and continuing professional education programs.
There are currently more than 5,000 part time and full time
students studying at the SAA GE, with students from Singapore,
China, Vietnam, Myanmar, Indonesia, Philippines, and other Asia
Pacific region.
ICPAS is also the partner of the ICPAS/ACCA Joint Examination Scheme (JES).The JES has been
successfully run by ICPAS and ACCA since 1983 and thousands of JES
students have graduated and gone on to rewarding careers.
